Days went past where it still didn't get the needed attention it desperately needed....
but our promises of attention were not empty ones.
*Note the nasty ness on the top, (plaster?) and the creative
child drawings on the drawers.
The happy day of attention came on a bright and warm Saturday morning.
We started washing, scrubbing, and sanding excited.
To our Dismay, the top was in sadder condition that we thought and we
realized it was all going to have to be scrubbed off.
The sandpaper wasn't going to cut it for this job, and we didn't have a putty knife...
what did we have? A screw driver and a kitchen dish scrapper.
We worked and worked....
an hour and a half later
We had sore arms, but all the paint was gone!
We wanted to somethings special with this unique dresser
so we decided to go multi color.
White and Periwinkle
it was both of our first times with spray paint....
and it was a lot of fun to experiment
and work together.
after the paint dried
we decided to add a little more love to the special dresser.
Lucky for us, Hobby Lobby was having a 50% off sale on their knobs
so we got some fun ones that added a lot.
if you noticed at the beginning, there was a drawer missing in the top,
we moved all the drawers down and left the top one empty.
It had a board in the bottom so it serves us as an shelf.
Now we have extra places to organize our craft supplies
and fabric!
We estimate that this redo costed about $16, That's it!
So awesome! look at you, Ms. Crafty! Well done!
